Personally speaking,it's impossible to miss telling you about this 7" . Today i had chance to interview with the band called "Girls Names" from Ireland, They mentioned that they are big fan of Black Tambourine then this record sprang to my mind. Pam from Black Tambourine was in Glo-worm as vocal. They might take name from Vashtie Bunnyan's song "Glo Worm". (Because their sound have many similarities. There is no Anorak's jungly elements, only there is simple melody line ) "Wishing Well" is so lily and ceremonious ,it because of the song has developed Pam's appeal very much. The cover of "Beyond The Sea" appear on b side is better than original one and bittersweet. Speaking about "Change Of Heart",it contain sophisticated melody such as Everything But The Girl and Pam's very pure vocal fit with the song. Still I cannot find out meaning that they used Snow White picture on their sleeve. It's so mysterious and unqualified beautiful.


この7"は極個人的に取り上げずにいられない１枚。 今日Girls Namesというアイルランドのバンドにインタビューしていて Black Tambourineの名前が出てきて、ふっと頭に浮かんだ。 Black TambourineのPamが参加していたGlo-worm。 バンド名はきっとVashtie Bunnyanの名曲"Glo Worms"からバンド名を拝借したに違いない。 （曲調もまさにそれなのだ。アノラックのガチャガチャした感じは皆無で、シンプルで歌に重心を置いているところも。） "Wishing Well"の可憐さと厳かさはPamの魅力を十二分に引き出した結果だろう。 B sideのBobby Darin の"Beyond The Sea"は原曲よりも断然にGlo-wormのバージョンは
切なくて、ドキドキさせられる。
そして3曲目に収録されているオリジナルの"Change of Heart"はEverything But The Girlのような
洗練されたメロディーとどこまでも純粋で先まで見通せてしまいそうなPamの
ヴォーカルがぴたりとはまっているのです。

スリーブの写真を白雪姫のモチーフにした彼女たちの意図は今でもわからず、
その神秘的なところも文句無しに美しい。

After The Comet Gain broke up, they thought "Let's start something" then lest of 4 members formed new band called Velocette. This song is first 7" release of Velocette (There is another CD edition ) It still remain 60's music flavor of The Comet Gain used to have and enchantment like wall of sound. Add more they got their sound shiner and more gentle taste. When you spin this song , the dance floor will change very at instance. Their charm of British melody and taste taken up by Camera Obscure,The Pipettes and Amanda Applewood. Why don't you spinning this twee song ,wearing cute dress?

and I have to tell that I'm very looking forward The Comet Gain new song coming out soon!?!?

The reason I choose this 7" for our #3 , of corse their fragile voice and guitar chords between the vocal are simply brilliant. Add more , I fall in love with pouty insolent girl face on vinyl label,it fit sound and increase

this record's affinity.

Somersault Records never been popular Because it only release 4 vinyls such good selected bands

as Acid House Kings and Glo-worm. it's very obscure label but there was connection with Mike from

Slumberland Records...I cannot write American Indie music without this my favorite label.

Speaking about Musical Chairs, they released three 7' (one of them was in compilation) and album (CD) "Wlts' End" in 1998. Then they stop their activities quietly, still I want keep it playing their cubbyhole-like sound with worm heart.

このレコードを三枚目に選んだ理由には

勿論彼らの儚い歌声とその間にかき鳴らされるギターの

コードがとにかく素晴らしいから。それもあるけれど

このレーベル面のふてくされた生意気な少女の表情の

可愛らしさが音にぴったりと寄り添ってその魅力を倍増させてくれているから。

Acid House KingsやGlo-wormなど厳選したアーティストを

リリースしていたSomersault自体はたった４枚しかリリースしていないので

それほど多くの人に知られていないオブスキュアなレーベルだけど、

インナースリーブにSlumberlandのMikeの名前があったりで、アメリカの

インディ・レーベルとしては語らずにはいられない私のお気に入りのレーベルなのです。

Musical Chairsは3枚の7"（その内１枚はコンピレーション）と一枚のアルバム"Wlts' End"を

98年にリリースし、ひっそりとその活動をやめてしまったけれど、箱庭的な温かみのある

サウンドは今でも大切に聴き続けていきたいサウンド。

This song's Elizabeth Elmore vocal is bouncing every second in this song.

I can tell this, a dance floor will shine when you play this song with catchy melody.

Sarge formed in 1995, 3 albums and 2 single released until 2000.

Especially this is one of my best girls punk 7" so that I always put this in my DJ bag...

We have never known the reason of Sarge's broken up in 2000, she formed new band called The Reputation

(The Reputation also broke up in 2006)

Serge never be famous as The Runaways or The Go-Go's, but her DIY / punk attitude is same as them.

Her melody twinge your heart a bit!

Elizabeth Elmoreのcuteでpunkなヴォーカルが曲の中で跳ねまくる

ダンスフロアの中でとびきり光るフロアキラー。

1995年に結成、2000年までに3枚のアルバムと

2枚のシングルを残し、特にこの7"はgirls punkのレコードを代表する１枚として

私のレコードバッグの中にいつも忍ばせてある一枚。

理由は明かされないまま2000年に解散し、The Reputationというバンドを結成している。

（こちらは2006年に解散）

The Runaways やThe Go-Go'sのようには有名にはならなかったけれど、

punkでDIYな姿勢、そして胸がキュンてしてしまうメロディーでは

退けをとらないはず。

She must to be a icon for Twee girls for such a activities she did.
I think she was very shine in this Tiger Trap and girls&boys readers of this blog,
of course adults like you too, should have listen this song.
This great song is about a girl who supercrush for a boy,We can feel her wish,cannot stopping thinking to see him.
I am moved every time for wistful by changing to slow tempo in song....

活躍していたかなりアクティブな女性としてTweeな女の子に目指して欲しい
アイコンなのですが、その中でも彼女の魅力が光っているこの曲は
